Know Your Support
Know Your Support
Our "Know Your Support" is the third and final step or phase in our Quality of Life Program, dedicated to empowering seniors with the knowledge and resources to build a strong support network. By understanding the various avenues of support available to them, seniors can navigate challenges more effectively and access the assistance they need to protect their rights and well-being.
Advocate For Your Support
In times of need, having a support circle can make all the difference. With the Know Your Support sessions, seniors learn to harness the power of support networks to overcome obstacles and thrive.
In the Know Your Support, seniors are encouraged to seek support from advocates, legal professionals, or support organizations specializing in elder rights. These resources can provide guidance, assistance, and advocacy to help seniors navigate the complexities of addressing rights violations and other challenges they may encounter..
How it works
- Identify Support Resources: We guide seniors in identifying and accessing various support resources available to them, including advocacy organizations, legal aid services, and community support groups. Our knowledgeable staff provide information and guidance to help seniors understand the types of support available and how to access them.
- Seeking Advocacy: Our team of experienced Senior Advocates specialize in mistreatment and provide personalized advocacy services to seniors. We represent their interests, provide guidance on navigating legal and administrative processes, and advocate on their behalf to ensure their rights are upheld. Our advocates assist seniors in addressing rights violations, resolving disputes, and accessing necessary services and resources.
- Certified Ombudsman: We educate seniors about the role of Certified Ombudsman in investigating mistreatment and advocating for seniors residing in long-term care facilities. Our team of Certified Ombudsman offers confidential assistance, investigates complaints of mistreatment, and works to resolve issues affecting seniors' quality of life.
- Legal Assistance: We connect seniors with legal professionals specializing in elder law who can provide valuable advice, representation, and assistance in pursuing legal remedies to address mistreatment, abuse, fraud, and other issues affecting seniors' rights and well-being.
- Community Support: We help seniors access support from community organizations, support groups, and peer networks that provide emotional support, practical assistance, and social connections. These community-based resources offer seniors a sense of belonging, understanding, and solidarity as they navigate challenges and seek to protect their rights.
