Protein on the Plate
Protein on the Plate
What's the purpose
Our "Protein on the Plate" initiative ensures seniors receive nutritious, chef-prepared meals tailored to their health needs. We focus on increasing protein while reducing sugar, salt, and soy. Nutritionists and chefs collaborate with doctors to create meals that support healthy weight and well-being, all prepared in the privacy of each senior's home for comfort and convenience.
Chef Prepared Meals
Every meal presents a chance to nourish the body exactly where it's needed, bolstering strength and vitality among our senior population.
In partnership with medical professionals and culinary experts, we tailor each meal to enhance the nutritional profile essential for seniors. Our program not only addresses the need for increased protein but also caters to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring a balanced approach to healthy aging.
How it works
- Step 1: Sign up through our registration process, which can be done online or over the phone, providing details of your dietary requirements.
- Step 2: We coordinate with your doctor to identify specific dietary needs and any health-related challenges.
- Step 3: Work directly with our chef to design a meal plan tailored to your preferences, health conditions, and lifestyle.
- Step 4: Before the chef arrives to the home, you can either purchase the groceries yourself or have the chef handle the grocery shopping. If the chef buys the groceries, you will reimburse the cost, but their time is already covered.
- Step 5: The chef will come to your home once a week and prepare 14 meals for the week, with the option to choose either breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. Over the course of 3 weeks, this adds up to a total of 40 nutritious meals.
- Step 6: Over the course of 3 weeks, this adds up to a total of 40 nutritious meals prepared by the chef in your home.
- Step 7: After the program ends, the chef will help you create a simple meal plan that you can easily follow to keep meeting your nutritional needs.
