This program brings together seniors, youth, and pets in enriching interactions that alleviate the sense of isolation so many experience.
Youth & Pet Visits
Every visit is a doorway to a new friendship and a reminder that joy and companionship have no age limit.
Recognizing that interaction can significantly enhance the emotional and physical well-being of seniors, "No Senior Feels Alone" facilitates enjoyable and meaningful connections. By partnering with local youth groups and pet therapy organizations, we provide regular visits that not only offer company but also the warmth of interspecies affection and the fresh perspective of youth.
How it works
- Step 1: Sign up through our easy registration process online or over the phone.
- Step 2: We match you with participating youth volunteers or arrange for pet visits according to your interests and schedule.
- Step 3: Receive a schedule of upcoming visits and any specific preparations needed (if any).
- Step 4: Enjoy the interaction, whether it's a lively chat with a local student or a calming session with a therapy animal.
- Step 5: Each visit 1.5 hours, at least 3-5 visits per week.
